Launching AdBuzzDaily: Unveiling the Biggest Gamble in My Career and Why I Took the Leap

Welcome to the inaugural day of AdBuzzDaily, your go-to source for all things marketing and advertising. Before delving into the reasons behind its launch, let me take a moment to introduce myself to both new readers and those with whom I’ve connected over the years.

In the early 2000s, my journey as a journalist and photographer kicked off with my initial contributions to the high school newspaper. During this time, my passion for storytelling and knack for navigating diverse realms of entertainment began to take shape. The pivotal moment occurred in 2012 when I attended my first red carpet event, unlocking new possibilities in my career.

Between 2013 and 2019, I broadened my journalistic experience by freelancing for reputable platforms such as FanSided, PWMania, and Indie Empire Magazine. During this time, I carved out a niche, delving into different aspects of the entertainment industry and refining my storytelling skills. Simultaneously, I made the decision to enroll at Full Sail University, completing my Bachelor’s Degree in 2020, amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over the past decade, I’ve emerged as a prominent voice, delivering comprehensive coverage of entertainment, television, conventions, and movies for The Knockturnal. This highlights my versatility and adaptability in navigating the ever-evolving media landscape. My insightful commentary and dedication to staying abreast of industry trends have solidified my reputation as a respected figure in the field.

In 2022, I embraced the role of a marketing reporter for Digiday, deepening my knowledge of the marketing landscape. Throughout my tenure, I dedicated myself to dissecting modern marketing trends and emerging technologies from various brands.

I would also like to express my gratitude to the Digiday team for the chance they gave me. The staff, including Kristina Mollis, Kimeko McCoy, James Cooper, Seb Joseph, Sara Jerde, Alexander Lee, Marty Swant, and everyone else, are the most professional editors and reporters I’ve ever worked with. From my experience, there are no egos or paranoia about a person’s spot there – a rare environment in the professional world that I deeply appreciate. This comes from someone who has dealt with it in the entertainment industry and even in a law firm where I was an executive assistant for nine years.

Following my tenure at Digiday, and now as a proud father and husband, I have been contemplating my next set of goals. Two options emerged – either launch an entertainment news outlet or continue reporting in the marketing landscape by establishing my own outlet. I chose the latter, recognizing the oversaturation of entertainment-based outlets and the need for independent coverage of marketing.

As a seasoned journalist and entrepreneur, I am embarking on an exciting new chapter with the launch of AdBuzzDaily. Leveraging my wealth of experience and a passion for delivering insightful content, I aim to shape the narrative in the media landscape. AdBuzzDaily promises to provide unique perspectives and foster engaging conversations, marking a significant and innovative addition to the media sphere. In fact, I personally know publicists who have taken a similar path and are currently successfully managing their own public relations firms and businesses.

What these outlets and YouTube personalities share in common is their journey from working for corporate giants to launching their own news outlets and social media pages, starting from scratch and eventually achieving success. Following in their footsteps, I am embarking on the biggest gamble of my life to pursue this endeavor with AdBuzzDaily.
